NW Noggin Fest 22' with AMP
I partnered with longtime friends and colleagues Artist Mentorship Program PDX (AMP) to create a pop-up at NW NogginFest, an annual student run event featuring exhibits on neuroscience as well as performances and presentations. For the event I 3d printed a dish in the shape of a top down view of a brain. The dish was then attached to a speaker and and participants sang or played a synth (Animoog) and the soundwaves created various shapes and forms in the water in a process called cymatics. The resulting waveforms in the water look similar to the structure of the neocortex. Videos were recorded and uploaded to a Google Drive for participants to download and to peruse other's creations.
